By Bus
Bus travel is safe and easy in Chile. From Santiago, you can take a “direct” bus to Curarrarehue with Jetsur. If you do not plan to make any stops along the way, we recommend traveling by night on a “Cama” or “Semi-cama” bus for maximum comfort and logistical ease. Go to sleep in Santiago and wake up in paradise! Expect this ride to take about 12 hours.
From elsewhere in Chile, you will want to take a bus to Pucon and then take a mini-bus to Curarrehue. Pucon-Curarrehue by mini-bus takes about 50 minutes. If coming from the South, we are 358 km (about 6 hours) to the northeast of Puerto Montt, Chile.
We can arrange a pick up in Curarrehue.
If traveling from Argentina, you can take any bus destined for Pucon or Villarica and hop off in Puesco. Just be sure to tell the people at the ticket counter as well as the bus driver that you will be getting off in “Puesco, Donde Quintun”.

You’ll get a different answer depending on who you ask, but we consider Puesco and the entire Araucania region to be outside of the geographical limits of Patagonia. However, this doesn’t mean that Puesco lacks stunning scenery or opportunities for adventure. Just like Patagonia, Puesco is home to snow capped volcanoes, towering mountain peaks, pristine lakes, rushing rivers and wild forests. Puesco offers a unique experience for both domestic and international travelers because of its indigenous Mapuche culture and biodiversity of flora and fauna. The climate here is also a bit more friendly and temperate than that of the more extreme southern latitudes. We encourage you to come explore this land for yourself!
